In the period of 12-17.10.2014 five pupils and four teachers from the Complex of Schools in Jozefow nad Wisla participated in the trip to Portugal within the framework of the Comenius program.
    Our delegation was hosted in Fernao do Po Bombarral - the school which is located in a beautiful town by the Atlantic Ocean and is famous for its terraced vineyards and wonderful, world-known wines. Getting to know the heritage of Portugal, the participants visited museums, monasteries, exhibitions, learned about the traditions and culture of the people living by the ocean.
    In the following days in this charming and hospitable country we admired the capital city, Lisbon, where the old town was visited and the beautiful views were admired, we also did some sightseeing in the famous seaside towns- Nazare, Peniche, including the wonderful cable car ride. We also visited Alcobaca-the town in the western part of Portugal. The trip participants could admire its beautiful monuments, including the cathedral Alcobaca Monastery, a burial place of the Portuguese kings. Everyone enjoyed the small but charming town Obidos; during a break in the tour there was a lunch, at which we got to know a variety of appetizers- among them lamb and seafood ...
    The stay in Portugal was not only sightseeing but also an active participation in the project activities. The students presented the results of surveys, showed videos about the ways of spending their free time. There was also organised the Sports Day, during which the students took part in the relay races, prepared by the teachers from six countries.
    The week in Portugal passed very quickly. We will remain in our hearts the great hospitality of the hosts, their openness, friendliness and warmth which we experienced in Bombarral.
